The ICF-1180I Series from Nishanth Technologies is a high-performance industrial PROFIBUS-to-fiber converter designed to convert PROFIBUS signals from copper cables into optical fiber communication.
This converter allows PROFIBUS networks to extend communication distances up to 4 km using multi-mode fiber and up to 45 km using single-mode fiber, making it ideal for large industrial networks and distributed automation systems.
The ICF-1180I Series supports automatic baud rate detection with communication speeds up to 12 Mbps, ensuring seamless integration into existing PROFIBUS networks. It also features 2 kV galvanic isolation protection, which protects equipment from electrical interference and voltage spikes.
To ensure uninterrupted operation, the converter includes dual power inputs with reverse power protection and relay alarm outputs for system alerts. Additional diagnostic tools such as fiber cable testing and fiber signal intensity diagnosis allow engineers to monitor and maintain stable communication.
Wide-temperature models are available for harsh industrial environments ranging from −40°C to 75°C, making the ICF-1180I Series ideal for mission-critical industrial communication systems.
