The ICF-1280I Series from Nishanth Technologies is an advanced industrial PROFIBUS-to-fiber converter designed to extend and protect PROFIBUS communication networks in demanding industrial environments.

These converters transform PROFIBUS copper signals into optical fiber signals, enabling reliable communication over long distances. The ICF-1280I supports transmission distances up to 4 km using multi-mode fiber and up to 45 km using single-mode fiber.

With support for data speeds up to 12 Mbps and automatic baud rate detection, the converter ensures smooth and stable communication across industrial networks. The device also includes redundant fiber ring architecture, providing zero recovery time in case of network failure, ensuring uninterrupted data transmission.

The 2 kV galvanic isolation protection, dual power inputs, and relay alarm outputs enhance system safety and reliability, making the ICF-1280I Series ideal for critical automation and industrial communication systems. Wide-temperature models are also available for harsh environments ranging from −40°C to 75°C.
