The TCC-82 is a compact, industrial-grade RS-232 isolator that provides full electrical isolation for bi-directional serial communication between two RS-232 devices. With 4 kV RMS isolation protection and four isolated channels, it ensures complete protection against lightning surges, voltage spikes, and ground loops.
The TCC-82 offers optical isolation on both sides of an RS-232 connection, protecting connected devices from electrical interference and accidental high-voltage damage.
It supports full isolation for:
TxD (Transmit Data)
RxD (Receive Data)
RTS (Request to Send)
CTS (Clear to Send)
With built-in wide-range isolators tested to withstand more than 4 kV RMS for 1 minute, the TCC-82 meets the high standards required for industrial automation and medical applications.
It is port-powered, meaning no external power supply is required (though external power is supported if needed).
